Polvorete

History

Polvorete arrived in 2019 to complete the family of Godello wines that Bodegas Emilio Moro produces in El Bierzo. It is made from 100% Godello grapes, a distinguishing feature of our whites that lets you get to know the variety to the full.

The label pays homage to the people of Bierzo, to those people who, for generations, have cared for the land that today provides us with the grapes from which we make our wines.

Area of origin

Flat area

Polvorete comes from the flat areas of our vineyards, which are areas of greater fertility with deeper and fresher soils that give Polvorete fruity and more perfumed aromas.

Process

The art of winemaking

Polvorete is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and remains in contact with the lees for 4 months.

This was the 2023 vintage

Video tasting

The year was marked by an unusual rainfall pattern. 2023 began with a spring of mild temperatures and a rainy June, which encouraged good vine growth and ample water reserves in the soil for the summer, which was dry and somewhat hot. The grapes reached the ripening period with a good balance between alcohol potential and ripeness. They were harvested in good weather, which ensured their excellent health.
