Finca Resalso

History

Finca Resalso is the name of the historic vineyard that was planted in 1932, the year in which Emilio Moro, second generation and father of the third generation of the Moro family, was born.

The winery’s youngest wine was first released in 1994 and its release generated a great stir in Ribera del Duero as it was the first young wine to incorporate oak in its production.

Today, Finca Resalso has become the ideal wine for sharing a few glasses with friends, a get-together with work colleagues or for those who want to get started in this marvellous world.

Soil

Formed in the Quaternary

The vineyards where Finca Resalso has its origin are composed of clayey, chalky and stony soils, very characteristic of the Ribera del Duero. We can find deep valley floor soils, where red clay predominates and the growing cycle is extended to loam-textured soils, with a higher concentration of calcium carbonate, which provides finesse and elegance.

Finca Resalso comes from young vineyards, which gives it its characteristic freshness and aromas of fresh fruit.

Process

The art of winemaking

During alcoholic fermentation, Finca Resalso spends approximately 12 days macerating with its skins before undergoing malolactic fermentation for 30 days in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting notes

Empower your senses

Cherry red in colour with violet tones, it has a very expressive and fruity bouquet, where the personality of the 2023 vintage is reflected through the fruit balance, more inclined to red fruits. That said, the brand’s characteristic notes of black fruits with lactic nuances are also present. It is balanced and ripe, with a very pleasant and tasty palate that makes it a very appetising and easy wine to drink.

Video tasting

In the winter of 2023, the rains were generous, affecting soil water reserves, but the cycle started without the typical spring rains and lasted until June. Temperatures were higher than expected and resulted in full ripening of the fruit. Just before the harvest there were generous storms that modulated the cycle and balanced the concentration.
