- Subtlety in its purest form, ElAlba symbolises the aspirational values of an entire generation.
Bodegas Emilio Moro is located in the heart of the Ribera de Duero, in the prime area of the ‘Golden Mile’. A family winery with more than 100 years of history that, with passion and dedication to the world of wine, focuses its efforts on fulfilling the maxim that has guided the steps of this Ribera del Duero winery since its beginnings: to be a meeting point to inspire people with its essence, giving them joy with a glass of one of its wines.
Its connection to the land, the knowledge acquired through experience, and the deep respect for everything related to the sector has allowed Bodegas Emilio Moro to always strive for excellence, relying on innovation to obtain the best expression of its terroir.
The result of this experience and continuous evolution is ElAlba, the first rosé wine from Bodegas Emilio Moro. A new concept based on the sunrise across its historic vineyards. ‘At Bodegas Emilio Moro we believe in new opportunities, and ElAlba is that. An opportunity that allows us to transcend our borders’. explains Javier Moro, president and member of the third generation of the family winery, who added “for us, Elalba is more than a wine. It’s the new beginning we’ve been waiting for, and it’s finally here, like a new dawn.’
EMILIO MORO’S ELALBA
Emilio Moro’s ElAlba is the first rosé wine from this winery in the Ribera del Duero region, arriving to reveal the magic between night and day. ElAlba, first light before sunrise, represents the unique and exclusive moments that transpire every day.
The complexity of its production lies not only in its unique personality. The combination of Tempranillo and Albillo Mayor varieties results in a fresh and subtle but complex and elegant wine thanks to its ageing in French oak barrels.
With an impressive aroma, based on the combination of red fruit – strawberry, cherry and stone fruit – and a very pale salmon pink colour, Emilio Moro’s ElAlba is the best combination of subtlety and intensity, a rosé with great potential. With floral and mineral notes that bring harmony and complexity without losing freshness, it is a light and balanced wine, with good length and an integrated and refreshing acidity.
The perfect wine for those who appreciate and enjoy sophistication. Who enjoy life and see, in every dawn, a new opportunity.
Javier Moro, president of Bodegas Emilio Moro
‘ElAlba comes from a quiet vintage,’ says Álvaro Maestro, the winery’s technical director. The rains during the winter quiescent months, the good plant development during the spring and the absence of weather shocks during the rest of the year helped to keep the vineyards in good condition. ‘Although, as we have been observing in recent years, the increase in temperatures meant that the harvest date was chosen earlier in order to preserve the fresh and delicate aromas characteristic of this wine,’ explains Maestro.
Loreto Sesma, a Spanish poet, has been commissioned to write some verses that embody the original essence of this wine and convey the messages that the winery wants to convey:
Dawn is synonymous with
restarting, rebirth and
new opportunities.
Emilio Moro renews itself as
the day does with the twilight
without forgetting the nature of the
winery: exclusivity
elegance.
Like a good perfume
‘El Alba’ is more than just a
wine, it is the symbol of the
aspirational values of
an entire generation.
A wine born to understand that the day dawns again, that life always restarts, that the sun rises again even in the longest night and that, if anything symbolises life, it is the dawn.
