Bodegas Emilio Moro Presents The New Look Of Its Flagship At A Private Event
    • The Valladolid winery presents the new image of Emilio Moro, a unique opportunity to get to know first-hand the wine and the man who left an indelible mark.
    • An exclusive private event with special off-market wine tastings and personalised wine experiences
    • Emilio Moro 2021, the new vintage of the company’s flagship wine, takes us back in time to connect with the traditions of the family winery.

Last Wednesday, March 13th in Madrid, Bodegas Emilio Moro had the pleasure of presenting the new image of its alma mater, the most emblematic wine; Emilio Moro and the 2021 vintage, in a private event that brought together journalists from national media and those specialised in gastronomy, such as Tapas, El País, La Vanguardia, La Razón, Harper`s Bazaar, ELLE Gourmet and Siete Caníbales, among others. And in another session, also digital influencers such as Pilar Oltra, Marta Oria and Sheila Conde.

The meeting gave the attendees the unique opportunity to taste different exclusive vintages that aren’t on the market, and to observe the evolution of their taste and image.

This presentation was a very special occasion to pay tribute to the man with whom it all began. Bodegas Emilio Moro is located in two locations: in the heart of the Ribera del Duero and in El Bierzo, a privileged area with unique landscapes. More than 100 years of history live in these family wineries that, with passion and dedication to the world of wine, seek to fulfil the maxim that, vintage after vintage, guides them: to be a meeting point in which to inspire people through their essence.

The essence of Emilio, a man who left an indelible mark

At this meeting, his loved ones shared memories and anecdotes about ‘an incredible person who left a mark on those of us who knew him and whose memory will live on thanks to the legacy he left us’.  Javier Moro, president of Bodegas Emilio Moro and third generation of the family business, was the host of the meeting, who shared with those present the closeness of the wineries with their customers: ‘We like to get to know people, tell them our story and convey to them our understanding of the sector’. Emotionally, remembering his father, he declared that ‘everything began with Emilio Moro, my father, and it’s because of him that we’re where we are’.

Héctor Medina Moro, Marketing Director and fourth generation of the Moro family, emphasises that ‘Bodegas Emilio Moro is a big family made up of more than 130 people, where it doesn’t matter if you bear the Moro surname or not’.

Emilio Moro presents its new image

Emilio Moro says goodbye to its old label and welcomes its new image in cream, with a new, more elegant typography, integrating the medallion and, finally, Emilio’s signature, just like the first labels of the family winery. The values of the wineries are reflected in the new image; ‘with the new label, Emilio Moro joins the rest of the wines, combining the values that we defend: origin, tradition and family’, says Héctor.

Emilio Moro 2021 is the perfect reflection of the tradition of Bodegas Emilio Moro

In addition to the new image, Bodegas Emilio Moro presents Emilio Moro 2021. The year was marked by mild temperatures in the spring, accumulated rainfall in April and a summer with slightly lower temperatures than usual, which slowed down the vines’ growth cycles. At the beginning of autumn, rainfall was scarce, encouraging the grapes to ripen, producing a wine with a strong character which combines power and balance with the rich nuances that characterise it.

Garnet red in colour with good intensity, the bouquet presents an interesting balance between the fresh notes of red fruit typical of the variety and the riper nuances of black fruit, coffee and spices such as vanilla and clove. On the palate it is balanced, easy to drink, while retaining its personality and a persistent, very pleasant aftertaste.
