To make Etna Rosso Contrada Carranco RV, the northernmost plot of the most suitable vineyard in the area, surrounded by basaltic rock, is selected. The Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccino bunches are fermented in concrete: half of the bunches are whole and the other half are destemmed and pressed. This is followed by an ageing of 18 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a ruby red wine with garnet reflections, with a smooth and elegant tannin and a long, tight sip.
