Bodegas Emilio Moro Forges Alliance With Champagne House Joseph Perrier
  • The Valladolid winery joins the French Maison with the aim of growing internationally and creating alliances with brands with which it shares values.
  • The French maison was founded in 1825 and is now run by the sixth generation of the family.

Under the slogan ‘Sharing values, we will grow together’, Bodegas Emilio Moro seeks to continue to grow and expand its borders, in this case, hand in hand with the prestigious French champagne winery Joseph Perrier, with whom they share history and values.

Family, tradition and excellence are values held dear at the exceptional champagne house Joseph Perrier. Aspects that they certainly share with Bodegas Emilio Moro.

Both companies attach great importance to family heritage and legacy. At the Ribera del Duero winery, it was grandfather Emilio Moro and father Emilio Moro who set off on the path that was followed by the third and fourth generation of the family who today hold the reins; Javier Moro -son of Emilio Moro second generation- as president; and Patricia Sánchez -fourth generation of the family- as general manager of the winery. Meanwhile, at the French house, CEO Benjamin Fourmon is part of the sixth generation of the Perrier family.

The French winery was founded in 1825 by François-Alexandra Perrier and his son Joseph. Since then, the Perrier family has been constantly striving for purity, delicacy and balance in their product.

Joseph Perrier has achieved great milestones in its almost two centuries of history, such as being the official champagne of the English court. It is unquestionably one of the finest producers, appreciated by experts and enthusiasts all over the world, achieving great recognition from prestigious international critics and magazines such as James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.

With this agreement, Bodegas Emilio Moro becomes the official distributor of Joseph Perrier products in Spain. These are seven unique and special wines, with their own personality and very high quality.

Among the wines that the Valladolid winery distributes, with more than 100 years of winemaking tradition, we find Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut, a champagne made with chardonnay and pinot noir, which they define as ‘the true expression of the house style’.

Another benchmark is Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut Nature, which is a reflection of authenticity and all the purity of nature. Or the rosé Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut Rosé, a perfumed champagne with fruity aromas.

All the essence and elegance of the Chardonnay variety is reflected in Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut Blanc de Blancs, aged for 36 months and made exclusively from Chardonnay. Also made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut Vintage 2013 is an elegant, golden champagne, which has a subtle and elegant bouquet and fruity aromas on the palate followed by a long citrus finish.

Completing the catalogue are Joseph Perrier La Côte à Bras 2013 Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature, made only from pinot noir, which gives it unique characteristics such as its old gold appearance; and Joseph Perrier Josephine 2014, defined as the promise of elegance and complexity.

Thanks to this alliance, Bodegas Emilio Moro expands its wide range of excellent products and, as the company says, ‘it was clear to us that it had to be a high quality Champagne, but, above all, we wanted to choose a maison with which we shared values and history. This agreement will make us better able to continue offering our customers the highest quality and to achieve success together.’

Seven Champagne wines that join the 11 that Bodegas Emilio Moro has on the market, thus forming a complete, varied and very exclusive catalogue that the winery’s customers are sure to appreciate, especially at this time of year.
